wedding invitation suite + day-of goods

At Dogwood Blossom Stationery, I assisted in designing bespoke invitation suites and day-of paper goods for weddings and special events.

This suite was inspired by the charm and icons of New Orleans and featured a custom crest, hand illustrated motifs and illustrations of local landmarks. These designs carried through to coordinating day-of goods for a cohesive look.

Full Invitation Suite

Printed on 600gsm matte pearl white paper, this invitation featured a custom monogram stamped in gold foil. A double-sided details card paired information with a custom watercolor of the Van Benthuysen-Elms Mansion. The suite was enclosed in a Colorplan Matte Vellum White (a light dusty pink) envelope, gold foiled with their monogram, and lined with a map of New Orleans to tie in the couple’s love for the city.

the monogram

This bespoke monogram combined the couple’s initials with meaningful New Orleans–inspired details. Fleur-de-lis and wrought iron motifs echoed the venue’s iconic fencing, while accents of Spanish moss and ornate beading added a touch of Southern elegance. Oak leaves on the right and orchids on the left framed the design, blending regional flora with a sense of romantic sophistication.

Welcome Letter

The exterior featured hand-drawn digital watercolor illustrations of New Orleans landmarks and the couple’s favorite local spots. Inside (not shown), a personal note from the couple and event itinerary welcomed guests and set the tone for the day’s celebration.
