Overview

In my hybrid role as an in-house graphic designer and product developer at Dymak USA, I create custom private-label offerings tailored to each customer's needs, style, and budget. I developed both original concepts and customer-directed products, bringing them to life through a combination of Adobe Suite and 3D modeling/sculpting programs. Limitations vary from customer to customer. Some have a higher budget but a more conservative style, while others have a lower budget to work with but a kitschier, more decorative style.
I also assist in the creation of new products for the company's seasonal storybooks collections and work closely with our lead Concept Developer to fill in gaps in the storybooks with new and on-trend items that will be available to global customers.

Process

When developing new products for customers, I work closely with the sales team and sourcing team to present products that align within a customer's preferred style and budget. After a short research phase on trends and new concepts, most projects begin with a 3D model—either from scratch or a customer brief—using Rhino3D and/or Nomad Sculpt to refine form, texture, and color. Once selections are made by the customer, I provide production-ready files and information such as decals and Pantone specs to our in-house sourcing team to produce samples, which, once finalized, move onto commercial production.
